Pre-K 3

Assalamu Alaykum Dear Parents,

My name is Sr. Nihada Omerbegovic and l am thrilled to welcome you to the new 2026-2027 school year at HVIS! This is my second year of teaching. I have a degree of Associates in Arts from Westchester Community College and a degree of Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Purchase.

With expert academic guidance from Sr. Nermina as well as unwavering support from the rest of the HVIS faculty, I will be providing a comprehensive learning experience for our early learners with specific guidance and attention to Pre-K 3. As you are aware, we will be implanting a new and exciting curriculum this year called Experience Preschool. More information about our curricuIum will be on our website under Academics in the Curriculum Section. 

I plan to utilize it to create a warm, creative, and structured approach to early education that supports a child's social-emotional growth, as well as their vivid imagination making it acedemically enriching for the whole child.

I look forward to working with you to build a strong classroom community where respect, kindess, and strong Islamic values are at the heart of everything we do.
